Reginald Collins, 90, was born February 24, 1927 in West Banger, NY and passed away August 1, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lois I. Collins; his brother Malcolm (Carol) Collins; his sons, David J. (Deborah) Collins of Ithaca, Richard (Linda) Collins of Chapel Hill, NC, his daughter Kathe (Peter) Kaufman of Durham, NC. Also surviving are his former wife, Marilyn Collins of Ithaca, NY; step-children, David and Gary Bartholf of Ithaca, Daniel (Lisa) Bartholf of Tallahassee, FL, Mary Ann (Fran) Brown of St. Thomas US VI as well as grandchildren, Nina Collins of Ashville, NC, D.J. (Ginger) Collins of Charlotte, NC, Michael (Ann) Collins of Ithaca. Additionally he is survived by great-grandchildren, Nathan and Naomi Collins of Charlotte, NC, Kian Collins and Marcus Haider of Ithaca, Lehandra Grant of USVI; step grandchildren, Cherie Brown of Denver, Co. and Lauren Brown USVI; his nieces, Deborah (Mark) McKane, Sandra (Herb) Schutt, and Susan Pratt of Watkins Glen NY.
He is predeceased by a grandson Kevin Collins of Durham, N.C.
"Reg" served in the Navy from 1944-1946. After discharge he was a partner with his brother, Malcolm, in the Morse-Collins Lightning Protection Business, for 35 years. Upon retirement, he was lead salesman for two Aerial Photography Companies. State Aerial Farm Statistics based out of Toledo, OH and Scenic Concepts based out of LaCrosse, WI.
Many thanks to his neighbors in the Commonland Community for their friendships and loving care, stopping to visit when he sat on his porch reading also to Beechtree Care Center for the loving care they gave him and to Hospicare.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 23 at the Commonland Community of Ithaca at 12:00PM with a luncheon to follow.
