Agnes Graham Davis

AGNES GRAHAM DAVIS, 92, of 2175 Washington Street, Cortland, NY passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Cortland Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Born June 20, 1914 in Fabius, NY, she was the daughter of the late C. Otis and Winona Barker Graham LaLone and wife of the late John E. Davis. She had been employed with, Crescent Corset, Wickwire Brothers and later with Smith Corona, retiring in 1973. Having been a Virgil resident since 1943, Agnes was a member of the Virgil Fire Dept. Auxiliary, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughters, Patty (Edward) Grinnell of Tully, NY and Lois (Ward) Tillotson of Harford, NY; eleven grandchildren, Linda (Randy) Foster of Homer, John (Becky) Tillotson of Marathon, Karen (John) Burns and Patti (Jason) Trabucco of Cortland, Richard Tillotson of Harford, Elaine (Michael) Hutson of Otisco, Valerie (Dennis) Hartnett, Theodore (Shawna) Grinnell and Sue (Bruce) Wilson all of Truxton, Lisa (Louis) Morgan of Homer, Teresa (Michael) Hoke of Tully and; sixteen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Madonna Graham; nieces and nephews. He brother William Graham and her sister, Alice Fessenden have predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, June 29, 2006 in the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Janet D. Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Cortland Rural Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Virgil Methodist Church, 1196 Church St., Cortland, NY 13045 or the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
