Alexa Bolynn Holley, 16, departed this life too soon on Thursday, May 5, 2011, in Newfield, NY.
Alexa was born on December 29, 1994 in Ithaca, NY. A miracle in many ways, Alexa was a compassionate gentle spirit who left her beautiful imprint on all that loved her. She excelled in everything she put her heart into and was a High Honor Student of Distinction in the 10th grade at Newfield High School.
Alexa is survived by her father, Wm. John Holley of Helena, Montana; her mother, Deborah Warren Holley of Newfield; maternal grandparents, Russell and Elaine Warren of Westminster, SC; sister, Kristi (Blake) Pierce and their children; Haley Johnson, Alex’s niece and her nephew, Cole Pierce of Newfield; an aunt, Bonnie (Carl) Haines of Virgil, NY; her uncles, Barry (Marti) Warren of Homer, NY, Steve (Mary Kay) Holley of Cohocton, NY, Jim (Kathy) Holley of Danby, NY, Ken (Tina) Holley Chattanooga, TN; her aunts, Linda (Lloyd) Lampilla of Sun City, AZ, Carole (Ed) Kainen of Las Vegas, NV, and Jannett (Roger) Roman of Spencer, NY, and many special cousins. She also had many friends that were dear to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Esther Phelps and Harland Holley.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM, Monday, May 9, at Peoples First Baptist Church, Newfield. Calling hours will be held at the Perkins Funeral Home from 4-6 PM, Tuesday, May 10, with a memorial service from 6-7pm at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Alexa will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Greensprings Natural Cemetery in Newfield. A candlelight memorial will be held on at 7:30 PM, Saturday, May 14 at Mill Park on Main Street in Newfield.
