Alma Kathleen Scutt

Alma Kathleen (Willson) Scutt, 86, passed away at her home, January 26, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Alma was born March 14, 1931 to the late Tony and Edith (Miner) Willson in Saranac Lake, NY. On August 9, 1947 she married the love of her life, the late Cliff Scutt. She was a stay-at-home mom who was involved in her children's school activities and church programs. Alma, affectionately known as Big Gramma, enjoyed reading; playing on her tablet and watching her grandchildren swim in her pool.
She is survived by her daughters Edith (Edward) Eaton of Virgil, Kathy (Dean) Moran of Virgil, Carol (Tony) Torris of Fort Myers, Florida, Sally (Ronald) Lusk of Warrenton, Missouri and a son James (Enid) Scutt of Syracuse. In addition, she is survived and loved by 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Sonny Willson, Marguerite Willson Darling, Van Willson, and her granddaughter, Suzanne Eaton.
Funeral Services will be held at 6 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Pastor Stephanie Brown officiating. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Virgil Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are directed to the Virgil United Methodist Church, 1196 Church Street, Cortland, NY 13045 or Hospicare, 11 Kennedy Parkway, Cortland, NY 13045.
