Joe Brown (Kate) of Montour Fall, NY (Jenny Brown) of Burdett, NY, Marvin J. Brown (Sam) of Burdett, NY, Laura and Joe Couch of Watkins Glen, NY
Amos had the great pleasure to raise many children over the years. Son George LaBar (Buck) of Dryden, son Wally and Karelin Tiffany, Daughter Olivia McMillen of Athens, Al, nephew Shawn Seamans who always was part of AJ's life. Nephew Robert B. Cummings who was there over the last year.
AJ took in many young people and close friends over the years he acted as friend, father, and teacher to so many it would take many days to post here all the names. Each life that he touched changed them to be a much better person and learned that you share with those who have less. AJ taught many to do mechanical work, bulldoze, build, and to ride motorcycles. Camping and traveling was a big part of his life. He worked for Cargill Salt, he worked on vehicles for extra cash. He loved the water, liked to skate, we hunted together as a family and traveled over the years to many places. He is leaving us all much richer in this life because he touched us.
AJ was in the Army during Vietnam he served with Honors. As a medic he saw more than anyone could believe. My greatest honor was to go to The Wall in Washington, DC with him and his Ex wife Emma Lee Goyette Brown Hart. We were honored to see all those men and women so many years after his service was able to recognize Doc, the stories from those Solider brought home the reality of what they endure. We marched on the Capitol and carried 57,939 boots for every missing man and woman. He went many more times over his life time. Life time friends were bonded through those visit till this day was and always will be a HERO. As time passed for AJ he began to get sick from his time in Vietnam, for six months he was missing in action. Veterans who serve this country along with Doc will forever be thanked for there time served and all their family and friends for Doc he lived that war so often.
He will be forever missed by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and all those souls gone before him.
His last act on this earth he donated his body for other soldiers that are now and will serve the United States of America, with pride he flew our flag and the POW flag. In his honor I would ask that we honor our flag and country as these men and women are owed and due that respect for keeping us free.
A Celebration of Life will be held DECEMBER 26, 2017 VFW 1PM TO 5PM location 2272 Dryden Rd. (RT 13) Dryden, NY
