Ann Dagro, age 83, died October 9, 2016. She was born on November 24, 1932 in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Dagro.

Ann-or Anna, as she was known to her family and many friends-grew up in Brooklyn, NY. For several years she worked at Weber & Heilbroner, the famous men's clothing store in lower Manhattan. In 1979 Ann moved to Dryden, NY, to be close to her brother and his family. In 1980 she was hired as an administrative assistant in Cornell University's office of Development Research and Records (part of Alumni Affairs and Development), where she worked until her retirement in 2002. Ann is remembered fondly by many colleagues and friends for her hard work, dedication, loyalty, generosity, irreverent sense of humor, and for the love she had for her family.

Ann is survived by her sister-in-law Frances Dagro, nephew Mark Dagro, niece and nephew Karen and James Lario, and by a great nephew and several great nieces and great great nieces.

She was predeceased by her brother, James Dagro, and two sisters, Mary Saulle and Nancy Palmigano.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Willow Glen Cemetery, officiated by Father Eloo, pastor of Holy Cross Church of Dryden/Freeville. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be sent to Catholic Charities of Broome County, 232 Main St., Binghamton, NY 13905.

May Aunt Ann truly be at peace resting in God's perfect love, knowing she was loved here on earth.
