ANNA SAUERBIER,
age 91, formerly of Groton and Dryden, NY died Sunday, December 9th, 2007 at the home of her grandson in McGraw. Anna was born April 12, 1916 in Beaver Valley, PA a daughter of the late Elmer and Anna Soltis Baker. Anna resided on Pleasant Valley Road until moving to Willowbrook Manor in 1978. She had been employed at IBM and NCR prior to retirement. Anna enjoyed her family, card playing and attending Bible Study at Willowbrook Manor.
Survivors include her son, Leo G. Sauerbier of Walsenburg, CO; her grandson, Michael Thayer of McGraw, two great-grandsons, Bradley Sustad and Dakota Thayer; a step-daughter, Kathryn Thayer; a close friend, Joyce Hunt of King Ferry and many friends at Willowbrook Manor.
At Anna’s request there will be no services. Burial will be private in Cobb Street Cemetery, West Groton. Those wishing to remember Anna are asked to consider a memorial to the Friends of Willowbrook Manor, Dryden, NY 13053.
