ANNA M. STOWELL
, age 90, of 3338 Slaterville Road, Brooktondale, NY passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a 2 week illness. Anna was born April 6, 1921 in Waverly, NY a daughter of the late George and Mable Clark Ganoung. Anna was retired from National Cash Register and was a long time resident of Brooktondale and attended the United Methodist Church of Dryden. She enjoyed traveling, working in her flower gardens and collecting dolls. In her senior years Anna was assisted by many friends and extended family members including John (Edith) Cooper and Sharon (Charles) Miller for which she was very grateful.Survivors include her son, Melvin F. (Charlene) Stowell of Oregon City, OR; grandchildren, Heather (Dave) Nauseef, Brian (Kim) Stowell and Jennifer Miller; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Leona) Ganoung; nieces, nephews and cousins.Memorial services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Sivers officiating. Burial will be in Charles Mulks Cemetery, Slaterville Springs, NY. At Anna’s request there will be no calling hours. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
