ANNE G. KIRTLAND,
age 60, of Central Chapel Rd., Brooktondale, NY died Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, NY. Mrs. Kirtland was born January 29, 1944 at Glenmoore, PA a daughter of the late John and Dorothy Seville Galt. She had lived in the Brooktondale area for the last 37 years and was predeceased by her husband, David Kirtland, who died November 15, 2000. Anne was a volunteer in the Town of Caroline Reading Room and helped prepare the Brooktondale Community Newsletter. She was a wonderful mother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children, Judith A. Kirtland of Charlotte, NC, Edward C. Kirtland and wife Catherine of Brooktondale and Steven J. Kirtland of Glenmoore, PA; two sisters, Susan Bittermann of Montpielier, VT and Rebekah Wilson of Joppa, MD; a sister-in-law, Gail Galt of Cape Canaveral, FL; aunts; uncles; nieces; and cousins.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at 7 PM Tuesday evening August 24, 2004 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Rev. David Dik will officiate. There are no calling hours. Entombment will be in Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg, NY. Those wishing to remember Anne are asked to consider memorials, in lieu of flowers, to the Slaterville Vol. Ambulance Fund, Box 190, Slaterville Springs, NY 14881 or to the Brooktondale Fire Dept. Rescue Squad, Brooktondale, NY 14817.
