ARTHUR A. PRESTON, age 60, of Etna Road, Ithaca, NY passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at The Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca after a lengthy illness. Art was born Aug. 20, 1950 in Ithaca, a son of the late Ray and Helen Woodford Preston. Art had been employed as a “Rough Neck” and “Pump Setter” in Oklahoma. He worked for Brown and Company in Texas as an off shore fisherman. Locally, he was employed at Cayuga Rock Salt and as a finish carpenter for McPherson Builders prior to being disabled. Art was an avid reader. He loved traveling, camping along the way, vacation camping with the children and grandchildren, sharing places he loved and exploring new ones, boating, walking in the woods and campfires in the back yard. Art was, and still is living and breathing through his friends and family.
