Audrey M. Ordway, 83, of 34 Yellow Barn Rd., Freeville, NY peacefully passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at home surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Born April 22, 1931 in Cohoes, NY, she was the daughter of Roy H.
MacKay and Miriam Leversee MacKay. On July 12, 1953, she married Donald E. Ordway. They shared 59 beautiful years together
in which she provided a warm and loving home
and created many wonderful memories.
During that time she was also the secretary and assistant to her husband in the development of Sage Action, Inc. Audrey was also an avid walker. She connected with many of the neighbors during her daily walks. She was a long time member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ordway is survived by her children, Pamela K. (Donald) Ennis of Moravia, NY, Jepson (Sharon) Ordway of Freeville, NY, Bradford (Dianna Smith) Ordway of Apache Junction, AZ and Nathaniel (Maria) Ordway of Cicero, NY; grandchildren, Molly (Grant) Denis, Noah Ennis, Krista Ennis, Faith Ennis, Jordan Ennis, Melanie Ordway, Garrett Ordway, Audrey Kate Ordway, Brian Ordway, Mary Kate Ordway; three great granddaughters; brother, Brust (Marilyn) MacKay, Lake Luzerne NY, brother-in-law, Harold Ordway, Patillas PR and several nieces and nephews. In addition, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald E Ordway in 2012 and a grandson, Christopher M. Ordway in 2002.
A Funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Monday, Dec 1, 2014 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St.,Dryden NY, with Rev. Eunice Taber officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 402 N. Aurora St., Ithaca, NY 14850.
