Barbara Jean Moyer

Barbara Jean Moyer, age 87, of Brooktondale, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 16, 2018 at home.
Born December 2, 1930 in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Dickens.

Barbara had been employed with the Ithaca City School District as a School Bus Driver for over 20 years and then with the Special Children’s Center for over 10 years. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church in Harford, NY, loved animals, camping, boating and fishing.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Stephen J. Moyer of Brooktondale, NY; and Timothy O. Moyer of Willseyville, NY; grandchildren, Valari (Derrick) Reed of Morgantown, WV, Cody Moyer of Enfield, NY, Elijah Moyer of Brooktondale, NY, Zachary Moyer of Ithaca, NY; one great grandson, Anthony Reed; nephew, Carl Rohrer and niece, Linda Rohrer and her beloved faithful companion Bodie.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Doramae Rohrer.

Friends may call from 10-11 am, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 11 am with Rev. Stephanie Brown officiating at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca, NY.
