Beatrice P. Schmitt, age 88, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Cayuga Ridge. Born May 9, 1924 in Ithaca, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ethel Norton Poole and wife of the late John E. Schmitt. She had been employed with Tompkins Trust Company for many years, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed living on the lake, camping at Spruce Row Campground and bowling.
