Betsy J. Warner

BETSY J. WARNER, age 87, of 200 West South St., Groton, NY died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born October 17, 1916 at Groton a daughter of the late Henry and Cora Markle Davenport and was a life area resident and the widow of Orrin Warner who died in 1980 and Charles "Roy" Huntley who died in 1988. Betsy had been employed years ago at IBM in Endicott, Smith Corona in Groton and Sage Infirmary, Cornell University. During WW II she worked at Eclipse Manufacturing Co. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and going to garage sales.

Survivors include two sons, Donald E. (Star) Warner of Groton and Richard St. Clair Warner of Ketichan, Alaska; her beloved friend, Don Mineah of Groton; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Sepates, Florence Teeter and Theresa Bradley; her brothers, Henry, Edward and Peter Davenport.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. James Geuder officiating. Burial will follow in West Groton Cemetery.
