Betty J. Cooke

BETTY JOAN COOK , age 74, of 114 Irish Settlement Road, Dryden, NY passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at the Groton Nursing Facility. Mrs. Cook was born Nov. 29, 1934 at Cortland, NY a daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Jones Funk. Betty was graduated from Cortland High School and on June 6, 1959 was married to Paul E. Cook who survives. She was a life member of the Grange, the Home Bureau and the Rebekah’s. Years ago she was employed at W. T. Grant Store in Cortland and also worked at the Empire Livestock Sales in Dryden. She had been the manager of the S&H Green Stamp store in Ithaca. Betty was a member of the Dryden Assembly of God Church

Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Cook of Dryden and several nieces and nephews including Keith (Linda) Fuller of Cortland, Ronald (Kathy) Funk and Richard (Karen) Funk both of Marathon; a sister-in-law, Helen Richardson of California. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Funk and a sister, Beverly Fuller.

Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at the Dryden Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tom Gordon officiating. Private burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
