BETTY ANN MERRILL
, age 65, of Ithaca, NY, known to many as “Betty Boop”, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital with her loved ones by her side.
Born April 24, 1945, in Ithaca, she is a daughter of the late James and Mary Malisenski Stark. She lived everyday with passion and zest; she touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with, giving all she had to anyone in need. She was a fixture of Manos Diner in Ithaca for over 20 years, and then went on to guide others through life with her Psychic abilities. Betty was loved by all.
Betty is survived by her son, John Merrill and his wife, Amy of Binghamton, NY; her daughter, Betty Jo VanMeerhaeghe and her husband Phil of Shawnee, KS, along with her six cherished grandchildren, Sienna and Sarah Merrill, John Tierney, McKenzie, Demi and Sydney VanMeerhaeghe. She is also survived by her long time companion, Gary Osborn.
A memorial service, to celebrate her life, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 4, 2011 in the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Mildred Logan officiating. Burial will follow in North Lansing Cemetery. Following the service, everyone is invited to the Ichabod Lounge at 4 PM to continue the time of remembrance.
