Betty Vann

Betty Ellen Stanton Vann age 91 of Freeville New York gained her wings on Thursday September 13 following a brief stay at Beechtree where she was rehabbing from her amputation.

Born Sept 5 1927 to Minnie and Calvin Lawrence Stanton. Her parents and siblings, Doris, Eva, Larry, Ray and Charlie all predeceased her.
She was married to her sweetheart Robert E Vann and many years resided at First Street in Ithaca. Together they enjoyed boating,stockcar racing, parties, cats, Genny, music, anything Betty Boop, and activities they could do with family. She was a seamstress but was happiest being a homemaker. Although she never bore a child, she was a surrogate mom to many nieces,nephews and CATS.

When the love of her life passed 18 years ago, her special bonded niece became her caretaker, transporter,entertainment and friend. Dolly after many years passed the baton to cousin Val who also met her every need. She was well cared for greatly loved and will be sorely missed. A long life well lived. Until then...We all LOVE you Aunt Betty.

Services, Wednesday Sept 19, 2018 at Perkins Funeral Home Dryden NY. Calling hour is @ 10 am followed by Service of Remembrance. Burial will be at Hector Cemetery.
