April 28, 1932 — June 29, 2023

Slaterville Springs

Betty W. (Ink) Pierce, age 91 of Slaterville went home to the Lord on Thursday, June 29, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis H. and LaNelle B. (Heffron) Ink, husband Arthur, son Robert (Bob), her brothers Russell and Fred and sisters-in-law Faye and June Ink.

Betty enjoyed her trips to Alaska, fishing, and boating. She was especially fond of watching the birds who frequently visited her feeders at home. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She was a gifted painter, those who were recipients of her work enjoyed her paintings and crafts. She was a member of the Caroline Center Church and a former member of the Caroline Senior Citizens.

Betty is survived by her sons, Ellsworth of NC, and Alan of MT; daughter in law, Peggy Pierce of Brooktondale; brothers, Raymond (Harriet), Marvin (Connie), Hugh (Jan); sister, Stella (Hal) Phoenix; 6 grandchildren, Wendy (Mark) Carlisle, Mark, Megan, Matthew (Kiersten), Daniel and Amy Pierce; 2 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Special thanks to Betty’s caregiver, Ellie Rezek and especially to her niece and nephew, Tom and Pam Ink for their loving kindness and care of Betty, enhancing her life these past few years.

Calling hours and funeral are at the Perkins Funeral Home in Dryden. Calling hours are from 1-2 pm Saturday July 8th with the funeral service following at 2 pm. Burial will be at the Brookton Cemetery on Lounsberry Rd. in Brooktondale, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Racker Center or the Caroline Center Church.
