Betty Waite, age 81 of DeRuyter, NY passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.
Born July 8, 1941 in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Underwood Finch and wife of the late Charles Waite. Prior to retirement, Betty was employed with Franziska Racker Center in Cortland.
Betty is survived by her grandchildren, Ashley Creecy, Jasmine Elmer and Cody Elmer; great grandchildren, Donte Creecy-Delaney, Iya, Sylvester and Charlie. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by her children, Charles Waite Jr., Betty Jean Waite and Daniel Waite; and her brother, Earl Ray Finch.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery, Ithaca, NY.
