Beverly June Akfreds

BROOKTONDALE - Beverly Hotaling Alfreds, age 85 of the Town of Caroline, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Hospicare Residence with her family at her side.
Born October 1, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lola Bickal Hotaling. Beverly always looked forward to the hikes, with friends and family, in the fall.
Beverly is survived by her husband, of 67 years, Jack Alfreds; sister, Gladys Andersen; her children, Deborah (Paul) Short, Pamela (Lawson) Safley, Daniel (Vicky) Alfreds, and Sylvia (Donald) Short; son in law George Schumacher; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition, she was predeceased by her son, Jack Alfreds, II in 1999; daughter, Linda Rose Schumacher in 2015; her siblings, Jeanette, Frank, Eugene, Garrett, Prudence, Eleanor and Evangeline. Beverly's family thanks the Hospicare workers with special thanks to Amanda.
According to Beverly's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of her life at the home of Linda and George Schumacher, 371 Hunt Hill Road, Ithaca, on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 1-4 pm.
