Beverly was last employed at Wilson Sporting Goods in Cortland for nineteen years, retiring when the plant closed down. She and John lived on the Groton-Locke Road until his death. ln December 1994, Beverly moved from her home in Groton to Willowbrook Manor in Dryden, where she resided until her passing.

Beverly was predeceased by her sisters, Vera E. Seyfried of Cortland/Dryden, NY in 2001 and Ruth A. Dykeman of Orlando, FL in 1989.
Beverly enjoyed cooking, baking desserts and organizing special events at Willowbrook Manor. She and Vera, in their retirement years, shared many hours taking picnic lunches and fishing poles to a favorite spot, just riding around the state to pass time, and dining at various eateries. If it was on one of several vacations they took together or while just on one of their frequent rides, Beverly did all the driving as Vera navigated to keep them from being entirely lost. In the last few years, Beverly, having lost her eyesight and with that, the ability to drive, relied more on close family and friends. With blindness she also lost her capability to cook and read, two of her loves. She was blessed in April 2007 with an artificial corneal transplant performed in Rochester, regaining sight in one eye. With this, she could once again cook and read, see her family & friends and more fully enjoy life. Sadly the stroke severely impaired her sight. She was a former member of the Dryden Senior Citizens and the Groton Assembly of God Church.
Cremation has occurred and a celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Dryden Assembly of God Church on West Main St., Dryden. The Rev. Sam Neno, Pastor of the Groton Assembly of God will officiate. Interment will be in Groton Rural Cemetery at a later date. There are no calling hours.
