Beverly J. "Bonnie" (Porter) Foote

Beverly “Bonnie” Jean Foote, 86, of Cortland N.Y. passed away on March 12, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.  Bonnie was born in Cortland on December 16, 1935, the daughter of George and Roberta (Crane) Porter.  On April 30, 1955, she married John “Jack” Foote.  Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Katheryn Cotterill, brothers Ronald (Donna), Gerald (Jill) Porter, and sister Katie Porter.

Bonnie worked for Dr. Speicher DDS, and Dr. Argentine DDS, for many years as a receptionist and many patients became friends.  Bonnie enjoyed watching NASCAR and her favorite driver Joey Logano, the Buffalo Bills, Syracuse Basketball, and SUNY Cortland Women’s Hockey.  She lived for her family and if you wanted to see “Mama Bear” come out, just say something about her kids!

Bonnie is survived by her children, Steven (Linda) Foote, Dan Foote, Joe (Joan) Foote, Rockie (Bo) Nelson, Pam (David) Gross, son-in-law Brad Cotterill, brother-in-law Peter Adams, 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Friday March 18 at McLean Community Church United Church of Christ, 50 Church St. McLean N.Y. 13102 from 5-7 p.m.  A private family service will be held Saturday March 19 at McLean Community Church United Church of Christ at 11 a.m.
