BONNIE MAY DAVIS, age 57, of Irish Settlement Road, Freeville, NY died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Cortland Memorial Hosp., after suddenly becoming ill in Cortland. Bonnie was born July 20, 1948 in Cortland a daughter of the late Dean and Janet O’Connor Moore. She was graduated from Cortland High School in 1966 and has been a life area resident. She was retired from Homer High School where she was a secretary in the guidance department. Bonnie was a member and President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Dryden Township Post 8158, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Bonnie was an avid bowler and a member of the Cortland Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a volunteer at the Cortland Memorial Hospital and with the American Red Cross blood drives. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, friend and colleague who will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends.

Survivors include her children, Donald T. Davis of Marathon; her daughter, Deana E. (Steve) Madigan of Freeville; her siblings, Gregory, Christopher, Benjamin and Lynne Moore; her grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, and Brooke Madigan of Freeville; an uncle, George (Sue) O’Connor of Dryden; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be at 10 AM Saturday, August 20, 2005 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call tonight from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Those wishing to remember Bonnie are asked to consider a memorial in her name to the Cortland Memorial Hospital Volunteer Program Foundation, 134 No. Homer Ave., Cortland, NY 13045.
