Carl Arthur Randall

CARL ARTHUR RANDALL, age 86, formerly of Freeville, NY died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC. Carl was born October 3, 1930 in Covert, NY and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He joined the New York State Troopers and served for many years at the Varna Sub-Station of Troop C and also worked at Cornell University. Carl was a member of the Leonard T. Spaulding Post 1134, American Legion in Dryden, NY and the Stanley McLeod Post 5631, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sanford, NC. He relocated to Sanford, NC after retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Karen "Jody" Randall of Sanford; his daughters, Robin Randall Shearer of Sanford, NC and Deborah (Ricky)Randall Jarrell of Groton, NY; a son, Shawn (Nancy) Randall of Cortland, NY; step-children, Wendy Pratt of Sanford, NC and Tina Pratt of Newfield, NY; a sister, Sally Jane (James) Wood of Himrod, NY; grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooper, Zachary Cooper, Andrew Randall, Paige Randall, Patrick Taylor, Cpl. Kyle Taylor and Christopher Bray and two great grand daughters. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Joan Gardiner Randall and his brother, Ernest H. Randall.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden, NY. Interment will be at 11 AM, Friday, June 9th in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
