Carole Ann Lurie, 58, of Ithaca, NY died suddenly on August 17, 2014. Carole was a loving person with a tremendous energy. She was a dancer and dance teacher for years, teaching her love of dance to numerous students in the Ithaca area. In recent years, Carole worked as a hairstylist in an Ithaca salon, where she enjoyed meeting new clients and sharing stories with her regulars. Carole spent her early years in the Bronx before moving with her family to Westport, CT, and then to Ithaca. She was the daughter of the late Harvey Lurie and the late Marie A. Lurie of Ithaca. Carole was predeceased by her three brothers, William, Robert and Michael Lurie. She is survived by her nieces, Jennifer Lurie Maxian and Katie Lurie, as well as her nephew William Lurie, Jr., in addition to her great nephew Benjamin Maxian, her aunt Eve Weissman, and many cousins.
