Carol Ann O'Donnell

November 14, 1954 — September 2, 2023

Carol Ann O’Donnell (nee Scott) was born November 14, 1954 in Meshoppen, PA, and passed
away on September 2, 2023 at home, in Marathon NY. She bravely fought a long, hard health
battle and maintained her beautiful smile, faith, and loving spirit.


Carol met Patrick O’Donnell through Bobby & Mona Graham in Virgil, NY in 1971, and they
married on September 27th , 1971. They lived throughout central NY and raised their three
children, Nancy, Joyce, & Steven, before retiring to Marathon.


Carol was everything to her family. She was the best Mother, Sister, Daughter, and Wife, and
was renowned for her kindness, cooking skills, and love of horses and dogs. She worked
tirelessly to provide a home for her family, filled with love, laughter, and amazing memories.
She had a horse farm in Scott, NY, was an AKC Boxer breeder, and was a truck driver with a
CDL.


Carol loved to travel in the truck with her husband and her dogs. She also enjoyed fishing,
playing cards and dice, making and collecting ceramics, cooking homemade meals, riding
horses, and spending time with her family. Above all else, she cherished being a mother,
grandmother, and friend. She fought so hard, defying all odds, in order to be with her beloved
family.


She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Patrick O’Donnell; brothers, Larry and Ernie Stage;
sisters, Donna and Bonnie Stage; daughters, Nancy Hoy, Joyce Humphrey (Darby); son Steven
O’Donnell (Connie); four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many beloved nieces, nephews,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Ray
Stage, Robert and Irene O’Donnell, Eddie and Amy Osusky, and close friends Rose and Gary
Watrous.


Calling Hours will be held from 12:00 - 1:00PM with a 1:00PM service on Thursday, September 14th at Perkins Funeral Home in
Dryden, NY. A celebration of life will be held directly afterward at the Solan Sportsman Club.

Guests are invited to bring a dish to share, along with pictures and stories.


Perkins Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
