Carolyn Sue Blaylock

Carolyn Sue Mize Kirkland Blaylock, age 74 of Dryden, NY passed away Monday, February 07, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Born December 4, 1947 in Sevierville, TN she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Francie J. Sutton Mize. Carolyn enlisted in the US Navy serving from July 1976 until her honorable discharge in December 1996. She served at various naval bases all over the country, retiring from South Weymouth, MA. After her retirement, she was a bookkeeper for ReMax Real Estate and worked in the I.T. Department at Ithaca College.

Carolyn is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Trish) Mize of Knoxville, TN; son and daughter in law, Jeff (Jean) Kirkland of Dryden, NY; stepson, Mike (Wendi) Blaylock of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren and those she considered to be, Kody Kirkland, Mackenzie Kirkland Grimshaw, Joey, Kennedy, Jennifer and Logan Grimshaw, Casey, Sam and Avery Dow, Alicia Bailie, Courtney and Taylor Clauson; niece, April Cranmore; nephew, Wesley Mize and other extended family members.

Family and friends are invited to call from 1-2 pm followed by a service with military honors at 2 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY.
