CATHERINE V. ALEXANDER,
age 79, formerly of Dryden, NY died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 at the Tioga Nursing Facility after a long illness. Mrs. Alexander was born in Ithaca, NY on Sept. 30, 1927 and was a daughter of the late James and Ruth Brink Dougherty. She was a life area resident and had been a member of Holy Cross Church, Freeville. Catherine enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Sharon (Phil) Alexander-Rempe of Scranton, PA, Robert J. Alexander, Jr of Richford and Roberta Alexander of Farmington, NY; her sister, Mary Warner Russell of Ithaca a brother, Robert Dougherty of Ithaca; grandchildren, Beckey Tripp; great-grandchildren, Cassandra Marie Tripp-Hollister; Dylen Hooten, Danyelle Hooten, Eric Hooten; nieces; nephews and cousins. She was
predeceased by a daughter, Catherine V. Alexander, died May 23, 2005 and a grandson, William Tripp, Jr. ,who died April 13, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial will be private in South Hill Cemetery, Ithaca. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
