CATHERINE L. MOWERS PERRY,
90, formerly of Freeville, NY, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 in the Medicalodge of Dewey, OK. Catherine was born on February 15, 1916 at Veteran, NY a daughter of the late Floyd and Edna (Gallow) Dean. She was raised in Alpine, NY and graduated from Odessa High School in 1933. She was married to Harold Mowers in 1943. She relocated to Florida and had worked as a nurse in Daytona from 1956-1964. In 1965 Catherine returned to Spencer St., Ithaca, NY and was employed as a secretary for the Security Mutual Insurance Company retiring in 1986. Catherine relocated to Oklahoma in 1998 to be near her daughter, Donna.
Survivors include two daughters; Donna (Robert) Marsheck of Bartlesville, OK and Doris (Richard) Lobdell of Freeville, NY, eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Elva Dean Terry, Clara Dean Williams, Maurice Dean and Harry Dean.
Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday August 22, 2006 in Cayuta Cemetery with a reception to follow at the home of Doris and Richard Lobdell, 691 West Dryden Road, Freeville, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Perkins Funeral Home.
