Charles Stanley Hunt, Jr.

Charles S. Hunt, Jr., age 96 of Freeville, NY formerly of Cortland, NY passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Cortland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born August 13, 1921 in Stanhope, NJ he was the son of the late Charles S. and Ada Wilkins Hunt. Charles was a WW II Veteran serving in the Army Air Corp from 1942-1945. On September 29, 1945 he married the former Laura Crouch in Totowa Borough, NJ. She passed away April 17, 2014. He received his Master's degree in Ag Economics from Cornell University and was a Research Associate at Cornell for many years. He later was an Economist in Syracuse prior to retiring.

Charles is survived by his sons, Willard (Linda) Hunt of The Villages, FL and Charles L. Hunt of Freeville, NY; grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) Sayers and Andrew Hunt; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services and burial in Willow Glen Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be directed to Cornell University.
