Charles J. Lasher Jr.

CHARLES J. LASHER, JR., age 74, of 370 Harford Road, Brooktondale, NY died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004 at his home after a six month illness. "Charlie" was born Oct. 13, 1930, a son of the late Charles and Gladys Oak Lasher. He was a life resident of the Town of Caroline and was previously employed at Ithaca Gun. Charlie and his son operated Lasher’s Produce on Harford Road. He recently retired from digging graves at local cemeteries. His wife, the former Ruth Evelyn Sullivan, passed away July 31, 1996.

Survivors include his children, David C. Lasher of Brooktondale, William J. Lasher of Ithaca, Anna M. (Charles) Barnhart of Newport News, VA, Jane L. (Claude) Phillips of Ithaca, Sarah J. (John) Lasher-Habalou of Brooktondale; his sister, Isabelle Blaisdell of Newark; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Roy E. Lasher who died July 2, 1986 and a brother, Kenneth Lasher who died January 19, 2003.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Vern E. Spencer officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to call from 2 to 3 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Memorials are graciously directed to the Slaterville Ambulance Fund, P.O.
