CLARICE DOROTHY RENZ,
age 87, of Ft. Edward, NY and formerly of Daisy Hollow Rd., Dryden, died Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home. Mrs. Renz was born July 16, 1920 in Kent County, England a daughter of the late Albert and Clarice M. Heney Gordon-Smith. She came to the United States as an infant and lived in Brooklyn, NY until 1943 when she moved to Queens and there met her future husband, Walter G. Renz. They married on June 23, 1945 and moved to upstate NY in 1946. Mr. Renz passed away June 19, 1998 at which time Clarice moved to Fort Edward to live with her son and daughter-in-law.
Survivors include her son, Rodney W. Renz, Sr. and his wife, Joann, of South Glens Falls; grandchildren, Rodney W. (Linda) Renz, Jr of South Glens Falls, Douglas (Karin) Renz of Cincinnatus, NY, Tracey L. (Garrett) Bovair of South Glens Falls, great-grandchildren, Briana & Nathan Renz of South Glens Falls, Delanie Renz of Cincinnatus, Andre & Marcus Bovair of South Glens Falls; two half brothers, Raymond Gordon-Smith of Maryville, IL and Philip Gordon-Smith of Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by a brother, Albert Gordon-Smith and a son, George D. Renz.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Kinney officiating. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden.
