Claude J. Sims

Claude J. Sims, age 88 of Ithaca, NY passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at home.

Born February 19, 1934 in Willseyville, NY he was the son of the late Claude and Lillian Hayward Sims. Claude was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War and was employed with Ithaca College until his retirement. On July 19, 1958 he married Sharon Griffin at Great Bend, PA.

Claude is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sharon; his son, Ernest Sims; daughter, Claudette Yeager; two brothers, Alfred Sims and Arthur Sims; three sisters, Eunice Langendorfer, Albie Gomez, Shirley Morgan; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

There are no formal services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
