Clinton L. Tracy, age 74 of Weber St., Dryden, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Regional Hospital Scranton. Born December 19, 1940 in Waverly, NY he was the son of the late Donald and Dorothy Cater Tracy. He was graduated from Waverly High School and was a meat cutter and later meat manager with Grand Union in Waverly later transferring to Ithaca and retiring from P & C Foods.
On October 15, 1960 he married Marie Swartwood at Waverly. His father worked for the Lehigh Valley Railroad which led to his lifelong enthusiasm for trains.
Clinton is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Swartwood Tracy of Dryden, NY; his children, Rich (Diana) Tracy of Groton, NY, Tim (Karla) Tracy of McLean, NY, Tom (Amy) Tracy of Freeville, NY and Deborah Leonard of Dryden, NY; grandchildren, Lee, Ryan, Stephanie (Weston), Katie, Justin, Lexi, Josh, Jordan, Dustin (Cassandra)and Zachary; great grandchildren, Brian, Aiden, Austin, Landon and Jase; brother, James (Meredith) Tracy of Iowa and several nieces and nephews. In addition, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald Tracy.
Friends may call from 5 – 7 pm Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. A private service will be held for the family with Pastor Matthew Binkewicz officiating. In lieu flowers, please make a contribution to the charity of one’s choice.
