Cynthia M Wing

CYNTHIA M. WING, 58, of 560 Bone Plain Rd., Freeville, NY passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009, in her daughter’s home in Virginia Beach, VA, after a three year struggle with Kidney Cancer. Cynthia will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her love of pigs, genuine compassion for all who crossed her path, and for the strength and determination with which she lived the final days of her life.

She worked at Smith Corona for 15 years until the plant closed and then she went to work at BOCES, Adult Education Center in Ithaca, NY until recently when she could no longer work.

Mrs. Wing was predeceased by her husband of 24 years Lloyd F. Wing in November 2006. A treasured mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Cynthia leaves behind her grandmother, Bonnie Hunt Ward of Bend, OR; mother, Frances M. Pete of Evans Mills, NY; sister Sandra Crump of Evans Mills, NY; brothers James W. Pete and wife Cathy of Canton, NY and Joseph W. Pete and wife Janine of Boca Raton, FL; son Robert C. Mason and wife Susan of Sioux Falls, SD, daughter Connie M. Mason Doering and husband Christopher of Virginia Beach, VA and son Scott F. Wing of Virginia Beach, VA; step daughters, Diana Fischer of Cape Coral, FL, Tina June of NY and Lisa Wing of Hector, NY; step sons, Lloyd Wing Jr. of Long Island, NY and Michael Wing of Moravia, NY; and seven grandchildren: Kayla M. Calhoun, Mason L. Calhoun and Paige M. Doering of Virginia Beach, VA; Katelyn Mason of Paso Robles, CA; and Haley B. Mason, Alexa S. Mason, and James A. Mason of Sioux Falls, SD. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at 1000 on 29 October 2009, followed by a memorial service at 1100, at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 Main Street, Dryden, NY with Rev. Dale Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden.
