Dale G. Guernsey Sr.

Dale G. Guernsey Sr., age 71, of Cortland, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca.

Born April 29, 1949 in Cortland, NY he was the son of Charles E. and Julia L. Wood Guernsey. Dale moved to Florida and was a truck driver for Rays Nursery in Homestead, FL for over 30 years. He was a lover of the great outdoors and he was an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish, hunt and camp.Our family loved him and his reclusive ways.

He will be sadly missed by his son, Dale Jr. of Dryden, NY and his daughter, Jenifer Cox Stanbro of North Carolina and by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte; son, David and daugher, Daniel.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, there is no visitation planned.  A Memorial will be scheduled in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charily of one’s choice.
