Daniel O. Waite

Daniel O. Waite, age 53 of Halstead House, Groton, NY was born in Ithaca NY July 11th 1963 and he went to be with the LORD June 29th 2017.
He is the beloved Son of Charles Waite Sr. and Betty Waite. He also has a step Dad Donald Vanderwarker. Dan had lots of challenges in his life. He was loved by anyone that knew him. He had two things he especially loved first one being coffee, then he loved going out to eat. His real great times were going to the Turning Stone where he listened to country music artists. He also loved meeting his folks at the country Music park for a night of country music and spaghetti.
Dan had a sister and a brother who went before him and was up there waiting for him.
In addition to his parents, Dan has a surviving aunt, Helen Porter; cousins and a very special friend I called her his second Mom because they were so close, her name is Cheryl. Dan also has a niece, Ashley Lynn and a great nephew Donte'. Dan had many friends with his extended family at Halstead House in Groton. He had so many people that helped Dan in all ways, there is another close friend who would bring Danny out to meet with his family at a special restaurant that he liked, her name is Gail. His friends were many they are too numerous to mention. They all know a special thanks go to them, who helped and made his life better.
Special friends and family are invited to celebrate Dan's life with us on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. There will be one hour of calling from 3-4 pm followed by a memorial service at 4 pm with Gladys Brannigan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Danny's memory should be directed to Racker Centers, 3226 Wilkins Rd., or Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, 612 W. State St., Ithaca, NY 14850.
