DAVID E. “DEKE” CORNELL, Sr., age 70, of Wyncoop Creek Rd., VanEtten, NY passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012. David was born Dec. 30, 1941 in Caroline, NY a son of the late Morris and Evelyn Burbage Cornell.

age 70, of Wyncoop Creek Rd., VanEtten, NY passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012. David was born Dec. 30, 1941 in Caroline, NY a son of the late Morris and Evelyn Burbage Cornell.
Survivors include his children, David E. (Crystal) Cornell, Jr., Ty (Alfred) Cornell, Tori (Donald) Cornell, Kimberly Stetson-Gelinas and Bernice Stetson; step-children, Johnnie Ward, George Stetson, James Ryant and David Beckman; siblings, Susan (Jonah) Maine, Sally Goad, many grand children including a special grandson, Alijah Cornell; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Deborah J. Cornell; step-son, Joseph Stetson, a step-daughter, Betty Jo Shevalier; a sister, Dorothy Decker, and Clyde Cornell and Annabelle Bodman.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Jordan officiating. Burial, delayed, will be in Willow Glen Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call from 11 AM to 12 noon, Friday, prior to the funeral. All are invited to a dish-to-pass luncheon at the Slaterville Fire Dept. after the funeral. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
