David Russell Hammond

David Russell Hammond, Sr., age 67 of Dryden, NY passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at home. Born August 4, 1950 in Cortland, NY he was a son of the late Norris and Lois Courtney Hammond. Dave was employed with NCR for 37 years prior to their closing then 10 years with Tompkins County.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Patricia M. Hammond of Dryden, NY; his sons, Andrew D. Hammond of Poinciana, FL, Russell S. (Kimberly) Hammond of Hendersonville, TN and David R. (Jessie) Hammond, Jr. of Labadieville, LA; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Brenda) Hammond of Virgil, NY, Thomas (Eileen) Hammond of McLean, NY, his sister, Gail (Robert) Metzler of Harford, NY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, Dave is predeceased by his brother Robert Hammond.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Archie Smith officiating. Friends may call from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospicare, 172 East King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
