David Henry Moore, Jr., age 57, of Chesnut St., Ithaca, NY passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Cayuga Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Born July 31, 1956 in Cortland, NY he was a son of Janice Sayles and the late David H. Moore, Sr. He had been employed with Lucatelli’s Restaurant in Ithaca and also did landscaping.
In addition to his mother, Janice Sayles of Marathon, NY; David is survived by his siblings, Robert (Sherri) Moore of Cortland, NY, Doug Moore of Cortland, NY, Steve (Nancy) Moore of Marathon, NY, Kevin (Yvonne) Moore of Marathon, NY, Bonnie (Donald) Daniels of Cortland, NY, Shirley Compagni of Varna, NY, Pam (Doug) Sayles of Cortland, NY; aunts, Mary Avery of Candor, NY and Ruth (Bruce) Hatch of Spencer, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his dad, he was predeceased by his sister, Linda Ingrahm.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden, NY with Rev. Bill Chapman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cancer Resource Center, 612 W. State St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
