David Lee Parker

David Lee Parker, age 63 of Slaterville Springs, NY passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Born August 28, 1958 in Binghamton, NY he was the son of the late Herbert W. and Helen Albro Parker. David was a painter with the Painters Union Local 178 of Ithaca for over 35 years. He loved camping, was an avid hunter and fisherman; loved all of his various “toys”; motorcycle racing and especially loved his Dallas Cowboys. David was always helping someone especially kids and those in need.

David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathleen K. Whittaker Parker; his sons, David Parker and Adam Parker; his daughter, Jory (Rene) Capetti-Lefebvre; grandchildren, Bentley, Cash, Autumn and Charley; son by choice, Ron Lynch; brothers, Herbert (Kelly) Parker, Harry (Joyce) Orton, Larry (Ethel) Orton, Bruce (Debbie) Orton; sister, Linda Orton; many in-laws including Gordie and Janet Nash; best friend, Ed and Crista Gee; his dog, Piper; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and a multitude of friends everywhere. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jeanette Orton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Speedsville Community Park, Speedsville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Slaterville Fire Dept. or a charity of one’s choice.
