DEBORAH DOOLITTLE RICE, age 60, of Harford, NY passed away Sunday, May 3rd, 2015 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with Huntington ?s disease. "Debby" was born May 4th, 1954 in Elmira, NY a daughter of the late Clifford and Virginia O?Daniels Doolittle.
She was graduated from Odessa High School, Corning Community College and TC3. She was employed at The First National Bank of Dryden in the Bookkeeping Department prior to being disabled. Previously she was employed at Westinghouse in Horseheads. Deb was a member of the Dryden United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, swimming, walking, gardening and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Survivors include her children, Daniel L. Rice of Harford, Jessica Y. Rice of Los Angeles, CA; her step-mother, Mary Doolittle of Deltona, FL; siblings, Terry (Thomas) Vine of Horseheads, Gary Doolittle of Bath, Thomas Doolittle of Montour Falls; her step-brothers, Michael (Deb Roe) Buchanan of Corning, David Buchanan of Deltona, Jeffrey Buchanan of Sayre, PA, Chris (Roe) Buchanan of Montour Falls and Nathan Buchanan of Cocoa Beach, FL; nieces, nephews ,cousins and her closest friend, Donna Veninsky.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Wheat officiating. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden, NY.
