Debra Marie Williams passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Homer, NY on May 31, 2024, after a long illness. She was 68 years old. Debra was born in Ithaca, NY on December 8, 1955, to the late Ronald and Charlotte (Creswell)Williams. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Skyler. Debra is survived by her loving companion, John Hilliard of Locke, NY. She and John shared many interests, that included fishing on Owasco Lake, motorcycle riding, cooking for John, and going to yard sales- they met in Locke at the 90-mile sale and have lived there for 6 years. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing quilts, crocheting, and she collected Santas. She enjoyed listening to music and was a lifelong Beatles fan. Debra is also survived by her four siblings, Peggy Morehouse of Charleston, SC, Ron "Buster" Williams, Jr of Cortland, Susan Williams of Asheville, NC, and David Williams of Enfield, all of whom loved her, and will deeply miss her. They remember her as easygoing and adventurous. She spent many summers with relatives near Ocean City, MD, swimming at the beach and crab fishing at Princess Anne. Debra is also survived by her three children, daughters Brandy Riker of Groton, Summer Farber (Tim) of Homer, and son Richard Riker, all of whom were at her bed side when she passed, along with granddaughter Samantha Tener (Eric) of Charleston, SC, twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several aunts, thirteen nephews and nieces, and the "baby" of the family and her constant companion, "Peanut", a spirited chihuahua. Graveside services for family will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 2 pm at Willow Glen Cemetery in Dryden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debra's memory may be made to the Locke Fire Dept, P.O. Box 183, Locke, NY 13092 or the American Diabetes Association.
