DIANA J. ELLIS, age 75, of Budzinski Road, Dryden, NY passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Cortland Memorial Residential Care facility after a lengthy illness. Diana was born October 20, 1939 in Smyrna, NY, a daughter of the late LaVerne and Dorothy Loson King. A 1957 graduate of Dryden High School, she was married on October 26, 1957 to Donald F. Ellis, Sr. also of Dryden. Diana was employed at Agway Petroleum in Ithaca and later at Patch Brothers in Dryden and Baker Miller Lumber Company in Groton.
Survivors include her loving husband, Donald F. Ellis, Sr.; her sons, Donald F. (Iretta) Ellis, Jr. and Daniel J. (Kim) Ellis, all of Dryden; her siblings, Wayne (Gail) King, Larry (Claudia) King and Vickie King; grandchildren, Daniel J. Ellis, II and Jenna (Will) Evans and Chad Owens; great-grandchildren, C.J. Ellis, Connor and Cole Evans; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan Ellis.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends are asked to consider a charity of their choice. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
