Donald Glenn Dingler, 59, a long time resident of Brooktondale, New York passed away peacefully at Hospicare, Ithaca NY on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
He answered to many names; Donald, Donnie, Don, Tiger, Dingbo, Ding, but what he was most proud to answer to was Dad. The bond he shared with his daughter, Madison “Rocky” was unbreakable. He was a very talented man, a jack of all trades, master of many. He was an artist, carpenter, painter, musician and mechanic.
He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, working on his property, attending car shows, weekly trips to the ice cream shop and helping those in need whether it be just a helping hand, plowing the driveway or mowing the lawn.
His faith in God allowed him to overcome many obstacles that were thrown at him throughout his lifetime, he fought a hard battle towards the end but never lost his faith.
Surviving is his daughter, Madison Dingler (Her Mom, Robin Dingler); siblings, Nancy (Jim) Klein, John Dingler, Mike (Lucy) Dingler, Tim Dingler, Wendy (Jim) Andrus, Todd Dingler, Kathy (George) Burenga and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Patricia Cutting and John Dingler, sister, Towana Haley, brother, Kyle Dingler, nephews, Dylan Dingler and Christopher Dingler.
To honor Donald’s wishes there will be no calling hours or memorial service. Burial will be private at a later date.
