Donald E Fields, 61, of Freeville, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday morning, October 26th due to pancreatic cancer.
He left his beloved grandchildren Stephannie, Breanna, Logan, and Savana Rorick, Alex, Dominik and Cameron Chapman, and Jasmond Johnson and Chasitie Coil; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Roy Fields and Floyd Fields, and sister-in-law Marlene Fields.
Donald was born in Watertown, NY on September 29, 1950 to Israel and Hazel Fields. Donald graduated from Dryden High School in 1969.
Worked for Eastern Breeders for 18 years, Challenge Industries, H & E, and the Sciencenter for nearly 20 years.
Don will be remembered for working hard at multiple jobs. He loved to
collect Coca-Cola memorabilia and other antiques, playing Blackjack and
watching thoroughbred races. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Calling hours for Mr. Fields will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
