Donna E. (Burlingame) Oaks

Donna E. (Burlingame) Oaks was called home to our Lord and Savior on November 11, 2021 at the age of 73.

Donna was born to the late Harry and Marjorie Burlingame on October 11,1948 in Ithaca, NY where she lived out her life. She worked as a housekeeper for many years before becoming disabled.

Donna was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Robert E. Oaks of Ithaca; daughter, Michelle D. Drake of Freeville; son, William Woodard Jr of Ithaca; sisters, Helen Freelove, Mary O’Neil and Stephanie Burlingame.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Demming of Newfield, Kimberly and Jon Decker of Elmira, Ethel Woodard (longtime boyfriend, Randy) of Brooktondale, Jacqueline and the late George Swansbrough; siblings, Janet of Towanda, PA and Butch Burlingame of Dryden; all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Donna lived her remaining years, loving her children and spending time helping raise her grandchildren, Jessica, Amber, Tora, Jeremy, Kayle, Courtney, Sierra and Zackery.

She loved the holidays and cookouts at the park with nothing more than family. She thrived when they all came together. She loved country music. Donna was always watching for her niece, Corina Predmore to show up with guitar in hand to sing and dance with her. Donna loved all. She had a golden heart, caring, loving and helping anyone if she could. Donna was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dryden.

Services will be held at 12pm (Noon) on Friday, November 12, 2021at Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hicks officiating. Burial with graveside services will follow at Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg.
