Doris Elaine (Eckler) Fenton

Doris E. Fenton (Eckler) passed away on September 12, 2022 at home with her family by her side, at the age of 90.

Doris was born in Amsterdam, NY on May 4, 1932 to Lorenzo and Elizabeth Dykeman Eckler. She was a seamstress for many years prior to retirement.

Doris is survived by her children, John Simmons, Bill Simmons, Roxanne (Tom) Yako, Donna Everhart, Kelly (Mike) Rogers and Howard Northrup Jr. She was a proud grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 15 and great great grandmother of 4; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal services, per Doris’ wishes. There will be a Celebration of her Life from 12-4 pm on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022 at the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home, 2272 Dryden Road, Dryden, NY. Burial will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Stamford Cemetery in Stamford, NY. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your local animal shelter.
