DORIS IRENE MORSE OTIS,
age 89, of Miami, Oklahoma died at the home of her daughter on Thursday, May 15, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Otis was born June 22, 1918 to Claude and Bessie (Stark) Morse. She spent the last five years of her life in Miami after moving from New York. Her husband, Dick Lawrence Otis, Sr., preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter Ellen Otis Quinn of Miami Oklahoma, and one son Roger Dale Otis of Hollywood, Florida. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren; four step- grandchildren, and thirty one great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Ruby Russell; two sons, Dick Lawrence Otis, Jr. and George Damon Otis; a brother, Lewis Morse; three sisters, Mildred Updike, Pauline Woodin and Marion Prince.
Memorial services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, May 24th in the United Methodist Church of Dryden. Burial will follow in the Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. There are no calling hours. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
