DORLA ANN OLIVER,
age 89, formerly of Harford Mills, NY passed away peacefully Friday, January 26th, 2007, at the Cortland Care Center. Mrs. Oliver was born August 10, 1917 at Richford, NY a daughter of the late Edgar and Anna Rich Welch. Her husband, Lewis Oliver died in 1988. She was a member of the Harford Senior Club, the Harford Senior Center, the Harmony United Methodist Church and the former Harford Mills Grange.
Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia L. Armstrong of Cortland and Katherine A. (Brian) Johnson of Tully; her grandchildren, Katrina Cranston, Emily Armstrong, Troy (fiance-Heidi LaForge) Johnson and Eric (Shana) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kierra, Addon Jon and Mason; a special friend and companion, Fred Doyle; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Oliver was predeceased by her siblings, Kathryn Packard, Bernice Edmonds, Alberta Stillman, Claude and Leonard Welch, and her son-in-law, George Armstrong.
Funeral services will be at 1 PM Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Cathy Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Virgil Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 12 to 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Memorial contributions are graciously directed to the Harmony United Methodist Church, 726 Rt. 221, Harford, NY 13784 or the Cortland County Nutrition Program, 60 Central Ave., Cortland, NY 13045.
